A triple-amputee veteran has raised millions of dollars in just a few short days to fund President Donald Trump’s U.S.-Mexico border wall to “jumpstart” the process — and to limit the amount of money “Trump has to secure from our politicians.”

Trump campaigned heavily during the 2016 presidential election on building the border wall and enforcing U.S. immigration laws.

The president demanded that Congress include $5 billion in border wall funding in its spending bill or risk a partial government shutdown this week.

But the president appeared to give in on border wall funding with the shutdown deadline looming Friday and with Democratic leaders refusing to budge amid pressure from their progressive bases. Trump suggested that there may be other ways for him to secure the funding.

On Thursday morning the president tweeted, “When I begrudgingly signed the Omnibus Bill, I was promised the Wall and Border Security by leadership. Would be done by end of year (NOW). It didn’t happen! We foolishly fight for Border Security for other countries — but not for our beloved U.S.A. Not good!”

When House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats reclaim the House majority in January, almost all hope of passing border wall funding through the House will end.

But Brian Kolfage (pictured above left), a Purple Heart recipient who lost both his legs and one arm in Iraq after a rocket attack on his airbase, took action this week to aid Trump in securing funding for his signature campaign promise.

“President Trump’s main campaign promise was to BUILD THE WALL. And as he’s followed through on just about every promise so far, this wall project needs to be completed still,” Kolfage wrote on his GoFundMe page.

“As a veteran who has given so much, 3 limbs, I feel deeply invested to this nation to ensure future generations have everything we have today,” Kolfage added.

Noting that his grandparents immigrated into the U.S. legally, the veteran said, “It’s time we uphold our laws, and get this wall BUILT!”

“It’s up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling,” Kolfage wrote. “If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall.”

Kolfage’s border wall funding campaign raised more than $5 million by more than 84,000 people in three days at the time of this article’s original publication on Thursday, December 20.

Kolfage blasted liberals who would “rather see President Trump fail than see America succeed.”

Warning that Democrats “are going to stall this project by every means possible and play political games to ensure President Trump doesn’t get his” victory, Kolfage blasted liberals who would “rather see President Trump fail than see America succeed.”

“However, if we can fund a large portion of this wall, it will jumpstart things and will be less money Trump has to secure from our politicians,” Kolfage wrote as he urged Trump voters to help “make America safe again!”

Trump slammed Democrats on Thursday on Twitter for their obstinacy.

He tweeted, “The Democrats, who know Steel Slats (Wall) are necessary for Border Security, are putting politics over Country. What they are just beginning to realize is that I will not sign any of their legislation, including infrastructure, unless it has perfect Border Security. U.S.A. WINS!”

Kolfage has had some run-ins with Facebook in recent times and has had some pages of his shut down; he told host Laura Ingraham of “The Ingraham Angle” on Fox News Thursday night that he’s “not allowed” on Facebook anymore, that he’s on Twitter, and that he’s focusing his efforts on this GoFundMe effort to raise money for the wall.
