Rapper T.I. caused waves of controversy when he released a music video depicting Melania Trump as a nude stripper in the Oval Office.

The model who portrayed the first lady, Melanie Marden (pictured above on the left), is now speaking out about her performance, and she’s calling it “brave.”

“It was an opportunity for me to step right outside my comfort zone and play the first lady — yes, naked, which I’ve never done before … I was brave,” she told Inside Edition.

The video depicts the first lady wearing her famous “I Don’t Care. Do U?” jacket and then jumping onto the desk in the Oval Office in high heels and dancing naked.

Asked about whether the video could be an example of the exact “bullying” the first lady talked about being directed at her in a recent interview, Marden responded by simply saying that the first lady’s husband “does a lot of bullying himself.”

“So they’ve [Donald and Melania Trump] got some thick skin,” Marden added. “If I was insulting her and degrading her, then it would be one thing, but I don’t think I was.”

Marden, who is Canadian, said she has received death threats since the release of the video.

The model also revealed in her interview that she made a second video where she again plays the first lady and mimics her accent.

Marden can be seen in the video wearing the same “I Don’t Care. Do U?” jacket and saying, “God bless America. And Russia. And the Trumps.”

The Instagram video is meant as a response to the criticism to the T.I. music video. Marden’s Melania says she has been “naked” before and that “music and art should unite us.”

Marden also addressed her music video performance in an Instagram post, where she called her decision “empowering” to women and a “brave” decision.

“It was a creative choice for me,” she said about her decision to star in the music video, “and also an opportunity to empower women.”

She added, “It was a hard decision for me, but I’m proud of myself for being so brave.”

Rapper T.I. released the original music video to his social media recently with the caption, “Dear 45, I ain’t Kanye.” He has been a vocal critic of rapper and Trump supporter Kanye West, who recently visited the president at the White House.

“This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen,” T.I. said about Kanye West’s visit with Trump on Instagram.
