Foiled: Students Planned to Kill Others at Florida Middle School

Police say two middle school girls who worship Satan armed themselves with knives in a plot to kill classmates at school this past Tuesday. The sixth- and seventh-grade girls attend Bartow Middle School in Bartow, Florida, according to police.

At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Bartow Police Department’s school resource officer was called to the principal’s office in reference to an “armed juvenile complaint,” Tampa Bay’s WFTS reported.

The students apparently planned to attack fellow students during the school day.

“Fortunately, they were intercepted by school staff [while] hiding in a bathroom during class time prior to carrying out their plans,” Bartow police said in a press release.

The Bartow Police Department said a student warned a teacher on Monday that one of the girls had mentioned that “something bad” would happen at the middle school.

As a result of this warning, extra officers were at the school on Tuesday, WFTS reported, and after the mother of one of the girls received a robocall alerting her that her child was not present in class, she called the school to inform teachers her daughter should be in school.

Staff began to search the campus — and reportedly found the two girls hiding in a bathroom.

The girls had a knife and knife sharpener, along with a pizza cutter and a butcher knife, in their pockets.

The two later admitted their plot to kill students as they entered the bathroom.

The girls — both of whom are not even teenagers — confirmed that “that they wanted to kill at least 15 people” and were waiting in the bathroom for smaller kids they could kill, said Bartow Police Chief Joe Hall (shown above left), according to WFTS.

“I believe that these two small children — I’m going to call them small children, they are only 11 and 12 — seriously sat down and plotted to do bodily harm to another student at school.”

The investigation also revealed messages between the two girls as they planned for their attack.

The last message said, “Today is health lessens [sic] thank Satan we’re doing this in a bit,” according to an arrest report.

When asked about their motivation for such an attack, the girls reportedly told police they were Satan worshippers.

The girls told police they also planned to drink their victims’ blood out of a goblet. They also discussed eating the victims’ flesh and leaving body parts at the school’s front doors. Then, they planned to kill themselves.
