4.) Doris Day, age 95. The retired film star and singer has had quite the career. She worked with director Alfred Hitchcock and star James Stewart in 1956’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much,” and she had her own sitcom, “The Doris Day Show,” which ran from 1968 to 1973. She also worked with legends Clark Gable and Cary Grant.

She was nominated in 1960 for Best Actress (for “Pillow Talk”) and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2004, presented to her by then-President George W. Bush.

In an interesting turn of events regarding her age, Day actually didn’t discover she was 95 until this very year. Before 2017, she thought she was 93; however, she obtained a copy of her birth certificate recently and was informed otherwise.

She said in a public statement, “I’ve always said age is just a number and I have never paid much attention to birthdays, but it’s great to finally know how old I really am.” (go to page 6 to continue reading)[lz_pagination]
