2.) Carl Reiner, age 95. Old age is actually a subject that greatly interests filmmaker Reiner, who has starred in everything from 1975’s “2000 Year Old Man” to 2001’s “Ocean’s Eleven.” He also directed projects such as 1969’s “The Comic” and 1987’s “Summer School.”

In a documentary out this year entitled “If You’re Not in the Orbit, Eat Breakfast,” Reiner and such stars as Dick Van Dyke (91 years old) and Mel Brooks (91 years old) talked about about defying the stereotypes that come with old age and staying active.

Reiner is still very active himself — he tweets often and still works as an actor. He has a role in the upcoming “Ocean’s Eight” movie next year and has also done voice work for television shows such as “American Dad!” and “Family Guy.”

“I do check the obituaries every morning, first thing. I think a lot of people do. But I look, I check their ages to see when they shuffled off the mortal coil, and I go, ‘Got you beat … Got you beat … You got me beat … ‘” the funnyman told Variety this year before the premiere of the HBO documentary.

Reiner reportedly visits with fellow filmmaker Mel Brooks nearly every night to watch movies and riff on the day’s big news items. (go to page 4 to continue reading)[lz_pagination]
