“We’re going to have a flat-lining economy. This has to get done. If Mitch McConnell can’t do this, he should really step aside and let someone else come forward who can do it,” Ingraham added. “And the Republicans that are not willing to do this because their governors and their states are addicted to federal dollars — they still don’t understand why he won. And the White House has to have an all-out clear push for the health care plan that we need.”

“Think about the fact that in November, everybody was shocked day after the election because this man Donald Trump surprised everyone — the consultants, the pundits, the Bushes, the Obamas, the Clintons. He surprised everyone,” she said. “They weren’t voting for tinkering around the edges. They were voting for a radical transformation of the programs and policies that have failed the American people. They don’t want a little snip here and a little snip there. They want this fixed in a profound way.”

Ingraham also addressed The New York Times’ series of reports, beginning this weekend, indicating that Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., met with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer promising to deliver harmful information about Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Any contact with anyone related to Russia … it has to be put out early, and it has to be really clear and transparent,” Ingraham said, noting that Trump Jr. did not disclose this meeting until The Times confronted him with its information. “But one thing [Trump Jr.] did not get before that meeting was that this was going to be some person really connected with the Russian government.”

“The Clintons were meeting with everyone who covered Trump — journalists were getting help from [former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman] Donna Brazile to the DNC during the debates. They were meeting with everyone everywhere at anytime to get their war room going,” Ingraham added. “So I think this is a big nothing, but again, anything connected to Russia — you have to be transparent about. Otherwise it’s the appearance, even if there’s nothing there.”[lz_pagination]
