Yet while the Trump team works to put Americans back to work and lift wages, the Democrats remain obsessed with tarring the president with Russia-collusion hysteria.

The Washington Examiner reported on Tuesday that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called on Donald Trump Jr. to testify in Congress. His testimony is to be under oath and in public about the meetings he had with a Russian lawyer.

It is a concerning detail that Donald Trump Jr. is a private citizen, not an official holding a government post. What the Democrat from New York is saying is that he believes private citizens’ fully legal conversations can warrant being hauled before Congress to testify under oath.

Democrats are stuck with no ideas as to how to improve the quality of life and security for all Americans — so they are left with gimmicks to keep the Russian hysteria alive. Should Schumer and all the leaders of the American Democratic Party continue this course, they will be in for a rude awakening in 2018. What we need from the Democrats are ideas, not defamation.
