Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts has removed the American flag from its campus.

The decision came after the college’s attempt to appease radical elements on campus, who were reacting angrily to Donald Trump’s presidential election win, backfired spectacularly.

Following Trump’s victory, a group of students lowered the flag to half-mast, after which it was soon burned. After replacing the flag, the administration announced it would continue to be flown at half-mast to “both to acknowledge the grief and pain experienced by so many and to enable the full complexity of voices and experiences to be heard.”

Patriotic members of the community, however, found the move offensive, and following the uproar the administration decided to ban all flags from campus altogether.

Of course, this “compromise” strongly favors those seditious malcontents who view the American flag with disdain rather than pride, and is merely more evidence of the inherent liberal bias on college campuses.
