Senator Cory Booker made an embarrassing mistake Wednesday while speaking at a Glamour Magazine back-to-school rally for girls.
The potential 2020 presidential candidate proved he still has a lot to learn about national politics.
“I just want to be somebody who stays authentically myself, and if that means to run in a primary in Iowa, I can’t talk about the problems with industrial animal agriculture, and that might zero out my chances of winning votes if I’m gonna be talking about things like that, so be it and I miss that opportunity,” said Booker.
Notice what the New Jersey senator got majorly wrong there? Iowa does not have a primary — the state famously has a caucus. How does the Democrat not know this?
