Last week, two illegal immigrants were sentenced to decades behind bars for beating a 90-year-old farmer in Minnesota to death in his own home last April.

Reinol Vergara and Edson Benitez were sentenced to 37 years and 5 months in jail after they pled guilty to second-degree murder and assisting to second degree murder in the death of Earl Olander.

“Vergara and Dominguez say they went to Olander’s house to rob the 90 year old man in Spring 2015, prosecutors say they beat him and ransacked his home,” according to ABC Minnesota.

Verga said he was previously at Olander’s house over a year ago for a painting job he’d done there.

Olander’s niece, Mary Rothfusz said “when the defendant painted his house my uncle brought him water and snacks from the store.”

Rothfusz said what happened to her uncle was “pure evil.”

“Olander spent his last minutes on Earth blinded, bound, and bleeding to death on his living room floor while listening to Vergara and Benitez tear through his home. Police didn’t find him until a day or two later,” reported Breitbart.

The two illegal immigrants “will be in their late 50s early 60s before they are eligible for parole, after that, the judge said both will likely be deported,” according to ABC Minnesota.

Local news stories identified the two illegal aliens as “men,” leaving out the description of their illegal status in the country, according to Breitbart.
