He sings. He paints. And he’s still entertaining audiences, just as he’s done for more than 60 years. Tony Bennett will be blowing out 90 candles on a birthday cake somewhere today — and likely booking his next gig.

“I feel like I’m just getting started and look forward to each day,” Bennett said in a statement about his special day.

“I have loved performing for the public and sharing the music I love with the world.”

The Empire State Building will mark his 90th with a tower-lighting ceremony featuring Bennett’s good pal and collaborator Lady Gaga. A window display featuring Bennett’s original artwork will be shown in the Empire State Building’s Fifth Avenue Lobby from Aug. 3 through Sept. 6.

The Empire State Building events will take place in conjunction with a star-studded soirée at the celebrated Rainbow Room at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, at which Lady Gaga will be “flipping the switch” to kick off Bennett’s light show, synced to a mix of his more famous tunes.

On Tuesday, NBC announced it is planning a special “Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best Is Yet to Come,” to air Dec. 20. Gaga will be joined by Aretha Franklin, Billy Joel, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder — an all-star lineup of performers paying tribute to Bennett for his birthday.

“I have loved performing for the public and sharing the music I love with the world,” Bennett said. “It’s a thrill to have NBC air a special in honor of my birthday and to have so many wonderful artists that I have worked with and admire participate.”

Actors Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Kevin Spacey, John Travolta, and Bruce Willis will participate in the special, and others celebs will be announced later. No details were announced as to when or where the show will tape.

The crooner, married to his wife, Susan, 56, since 2007, obviously has a positive attitude about life.

“It might sound funny, but I’m still learning a lot, and I am getting better as I get older,” he told the Las Vegas Sun in May. “I work every day. I sing and paint, I love entertaining, and that’s what makes me feel good. It leaves me with such a feeling of love, and that is my life.”

Bennett, who has put out a studio album nearly every year of his career — he’s up to 57 studio sets, according to Billboard — has amassed 19 Grammy Awards. He has set the record for the oldest living artist to land a No. 1 album with 2011’s “Duets.” He was a mere 85 when he did that.

He set a new mark in 2014 when, at age 88, his album “Cheek to Cheek,” a compilation of duets with Lady Gaga, went to No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

His last birthday special with NBC, “Tony Bennett: An American Classic,” won seven Emmy Awards back in 2006.

“Since we celebrated Tony’s 80th birthday on NBC, it only seemed fitting that we should also stop and pay tribute to his 90th, a true milestone for the greatest living vocalist of popular music,” said Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment. “Happy birthday, Tony. Your achievements are epic and your voice has been the soundtrack of four generations. We and the entire music business are in awe.”

It’s also fitting that San Francisco — where Bennett left his heart long ago — is also planning to celebrate the birthday.

On Aug. 19 at noon, there will be a free public dedication and unveiling of an 8-foot-tall bronze statue of Bennett atop Nob Hill on the lawn of the Fairmont San Francisco Hotel. Later that night, the San Francisco Giants will celebrate with “Tony Bennett Night” as they take on the New York Mets.

The weekend’s events culminate on Aug. 20 with a benefit dinner and concert in Fairmont San Francisco’s famous Venetian Room, where he first performed “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” in public. Proceeds from the evening will support The Tony Bennett Fund for Emergency Pediatric Care at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and the San Francisco Special Events Committee.

The birthday celebrations for Bennett actually started awhile ago.

In July, Billy Joel led a giant birthday sing-along at Madison Square Garden after Bennett surprised the crowd by joining Joel on stage for his classic “New York State of Mind.” That caused the already-excited audience to “erupt” into applause and get up on its feet, reported Page Six.

After the stars belted out the tune (and the cheering died down), Joel gave his pal a hug and told the crowd it would soon be the icon’s birthday.

“When Billy announced it was his 90th birthday there was an audible gasp — it was kind of like seeing a legend frozen in time,” said the concertgoer, noting that Bennett sounded “great, as always.”
