Taylor Swift has risen to superstardom by cultivating a legion of adoring fans. Those goals we all associate with good girl Tay-Tay — loyal famous friends, cat-lover, modest dresser, on the side of right, such as at the 2016 Grammy Awards — have taken a beating. This week, she may have lost a few BFFs.

Caught in a lie, called out by an ex — suddenly, people are using the words “cold-blooded” and “Taylor Swift” in a sentence.

“Her likability has taken a hit and, more troubling, so has her credibility.”

Her wholesome image isn’t looking good, although she is struggling to get back up on that pedestal. The question is: How long will it take her to do it?

The bottom line may be that Taylor has a man problem. She always has. And, interestingly, men have something to do with all of her recent public relations mishaps.

Kanye West
Kanye West is actually looking good — for once.

This all started on Sunday as his wife, Kim Kardashian West, unveiled a series of Snapchat videos showing Swift said in a phone call that she knew about his song “Famous” and the line about her, a song Swift had called offensive and derogatory. And a song she denounced from her high Grammy horse earlier this year.

Swift was unhappy with the phone call leak and responded by saying that Kanye never told her he was going to refer to her with that specific rhymes-with-witch word, nor did he play the song for her to hear as promised before he released it.

“Being falsely painted as a liar when I was never given the full story or played any part of the song is character assassination,” she said via social media. “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”

People magazine is now reporting that Kim Kardashian West could be prosecuted for leaking the taped phone call. In California, it is a felony to record or eavesdrop on any confidential communication without the consent of all those involved and she could face a $2,500 fine and up to a year in prison. We say: highly unlikely.

But as the story snowballs for Swift, her “likability has taken a hit and, more troubling, so has her credibility,” celebwatcher Perez Hilton told Billboard. “But, all will be forgotten as soon as she releases her next hit album.” In the short term, Hilton says Kim is emerging from the brouhaha as a winner because once again, she’s in the news, breaking the internet. Her stock rises, while Swift’s swiftly falls.

“At this point, the perception is that she’s being a mean girl,” NaughtyGossip.com’s Rob Shuter told Fox News of the pop star. “She needs to control of the situation — fast.”

Jem Aswad, senior editor at Billboard, says Swift is seriously overexposed at this moment. “The thing is, whether she’s right or wrong in these things, she’s coming across petty and argumentative, and they’re not good looks for her,” Aswad told USA Today.

Tom Hiddleston
All of that comes on the heels of her budding relationship with a new beau.

For some, the whole Hiddleswift romance, a nickname for her sudden romance with British actor Tom Hiddleston, is being called into question. So many photos popped up of their wonderful Americana July 4 beach party at T-Swift’s Rhode Island estate that some thought maybe it wasn’t a romance at all, but a music video shoot.

Why else would a grown man wear a T-shirt reading “I (heart) T.S.”?

Calvin Harris
While all that has been swirling, Swift has also come under fire from her ex, Calvin Harris. They were hot and heavy until their breakup in June.

It’s a change since Swift is usually the one with the upper hand after a breakup — finding a way to sing about being wronged by her boys and boosting that sympathetic girl image, the one you wanna hang out with ’cause you’ve been wronged, too.

But this week, Harris jumped on social media in a series of angry tweets targeting his ex. The former couple worked on the song together — “This is What You Came For” — when they were an item, but decided to keep Swift’s involvement a secret for fear of their relationship overshadowing the music.

But after they split, Swifts PR team leaked that she had penned the track under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg, prompting Harris to go on a rant.

“I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it, and cut the vocals, though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym. Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.”

He snarked that she might want to focus on her new relationship with Hiddleston “instead of trying to tear your ex-bf down for something to do.”
