Looks like Ryan Lochte will soon be trading the swimming pool for the ballroom — giving up his Speedo for Spandex.

The disgraced Olympian is said to be in talks to join the new cast of “Dancing With the Stars,” which kicks off a new season Sept. 12. Us Weekly says the swimmer is definitely doing the show.

Lying about the incident caused major sponsors to drop the Olympian.

It is common for athletes to take a spin on the dance floor after finishing up at the Games. Swimmer Natalie Coughlin, speed skater Apolo Ohno, soccer star Hope Solo, and gymnast Shwan Johnson are among the medalists who cha cha’d onto the series.

And they all did well; their athletic prowess is a bonus in ballroom dancing.

Lochte, who won his 12th medal in Rio, seriously damaged his Olympic image when he said he and three other Team USA swimmers were robbed at gunpoint — only to later admit to NBC that he had “over-exaggerated” the story. He told People magazine he had “made up” details of the robbery.

His lying about the incident has caused major sponsors to drop him from lucrative deals, including Speedo, Ralph Lauren, Airweave, and Gentle Hair Removal. Forbes estimated Lochte could lose up to $10 million in endorsements because of the scandal.

Lochte, 32, has already tried reality TV — he starred on the short-lived E! series “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” in 2013.

We know what Lochte would do at a gas station in Rio. Now let’s see what he can do on the dance floor.
