Every four years we look to support U.S. athletes as they fight to bring home the gold — but things are a little different this year. With the disarray, not to mention serious health issues, surrounding the Rio Olympics, some of the most prominent athletes have announced they will throw in the towel this time around.
Strangely enough, scheduling was an issue for some athletes, which is a pretty weak excuse — it’s not like people don’t know that the Summer Olympics are every 4 years. Right? Eye rolls are permitted.
