As the country prepares for President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20, many leftists are plotting to undermine the usually revered peaceful transition of power with demonstrations in D.C. and across the country.

Rather than allow Inauguration Day to proceed undisturbed, thousands of protesters, organized by a number of liberal activist organizations, have signaled their intentions to arrange protests on a variety of topics and issues.

“It’s his last few days living in Chevy Chase before he moves into the vice presidential residence, and we’re going to send him off with a bang.”

In 50 cities all across the country, “immigrant rights” proponents assembled Saturday to show their support for illegal immigrants and denounce Trump for his emphasis on enforcing existing immigration law and boosting border security.

“In six days, we are going to have a president who is deporting millions,” Evelyn Solis, an 18-year-old immigrant, said at a protest in Chicago, according to The Wall Street Journal. “As a Latina woman, I’m afraid for my safety. With the organization being united we are going to create a safe zone for all people.”

The Women’s March on Washington, meant to protest Trump’s presidency, is set for Jan. 21, the day after the inauguration. According to its Facebook event page, roughly 190,000 people have pledged to attend while another 250,000 said they were interested in participating.

“We expect elected leaders to act to protect the rights of women, their families and their communities,” the march’s organizers said in a statement.

Almost 300 other “sister marches” are set to take place in other cities across the country and even overseas. A myriad of organizations have thrown their support behind the marches, including the Black Lives Matter movement, the “Pussyhat Project,” and Pantsuit Nation.

A group dubbed #DisruptJ20 is plotting to disrupt multiple pre-inaugural festivities, according to Fox News. On Jan. 18, the group reportedly intends to hold a “gay dance party” outside Pence’s home because the vice president-elect has not been a supporter of gay marriage.

“It’s his last few days living in Chevy Chase before he moves into the vice presidential residence, and we’re going to send him off with a bang,” an organizer can be heard saying on tape obtained by Fox News.

The #DisruptJ20 group also plans to “crash” the “DeploraBall” to be held Jan. 19, as well as several other inauguration balls. On Inauguration Day itself, the group also plans to do everything in its power to disrupt it.

“We’re going to be doing blockades,” the source said in the audio. “We’re going to [be] blockading checkpoints into the security zones. We’re also going to be blockading roads and other modes of transit into the city.”

#DisruptJ20 will also hold an “anti-Capitalist, anti-fascist bloc” that “will be an unpermitted march that will be leaving from Logan Square” on Inauguration Day.

“We’re exercising our freedom of speech and really want to set a tone for the next few years that there’s a massive body of people … who are very concerned about the dangerous direction Donald Trump is taking our country in,” a spokesperson for the group told Fox News.
