A Democratic National Committee tour bus allegedly dumped human waste into a storm drain Tuesday morning in Georgia — an illegal offense that quite literally caused a stink with local officials and bystanders.

A witness filed a claim accusing the DNC tour bus, which was emblazoned with the slogan “Forward Together” along with an image of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and running mate Sen. Tim Kaine, of illegally dumping the waste on Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville. The irony of a Clinton campaign-affiliated bus spewing forth human waste and leaving a sludgy mess in its wake was not lost on some.

“This clears up why they have to keep moving forward together,” Zipperer said. “It will be interesting to see how they spin this to be Donald Trump’s fault.”

“This is actually a perfect metaphor for the Clintons’ campaign and its globalist policies,” Eddie Zipperer, assistant professor of political science at Georgia Military College, told LifeZette in an email. “They dropped a huge burden on Lawrenceville, but what do they care? They’re never going back to Lawrenceville. They certainly wouldn’t drop a problem like this within the iron gates of the communities where they live.”

The bus had just left a campaign stop in the vicinity of the Gwinnett County Board of Elections Office. Lawrenceville police are investigating the witness’s claim, along with Gwinnett County’s storm water department and the State Environment Protection Division.

When the police officers arrived at the scene, they found toilet paper littered on the road near the storm drain in question and reported the presence of an obscene stench.

Mike Robins, who manages a business near the scene of the alleged crime, took several pictures and told WGCL-TV that liquid could be seen oozing out of the tour bus. In addition, Robins told the network that a hazardous materials crew rushed to the scene in an attempt to prevent more of the offending liquid from seeping into the storm drain.

“I don’t care who you are. I don’t care if you’re Hillary Clinton. I don’t care if you’re Donald Trump. I don’t care who you are — you don’t throw human waste down a storm drain,” Robins told WGCL-TV. “Waste water just dumping all out in the street, poured out in the storm drain, and at this time I’ve got my cellphone out and I’m taking pictures cause I don’t care who you are. That’s just wrong.”

The DNC released a statement addressing the odorous incident, calling it an “honest mistake” that should never have happened.

“This was an honest mistake and we apologize to the Lawrenceville community for any harm we may have caused,” the statement read. “We were unaware of any possible violations and have already taken corrective action with the charter bus company to prevent this from happening again. Furthermore, the DNC will work with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, as well as local and state officials to determine the best course of corrective action.”

Zipperer quipped it may have been a different type of “honest mistake.”

“It was an honest mistake. They didn’t realize it was a storm drain; they thought it was the Constitution,” Zipperer said. “This gave us a small preview of what a Clinton presidency would look like.”

The human waste leakage occurred the day before Clinton and Trump are set to debate each other for the third and final time in Las Vegas.

“It was probably Clinton campaign debate prep, and I think it’s exactly what we’ll see from Clinton tonight,” Zipperer added.
