The best things in life are usually free — and this Mother’s Day is no exception.

She changed your diapers, took your sass, went to your games, and made your friends dinner. She bailed you out when your car died, was there for you when you lost friends or money or apartments — and she loves you completely and unconditionally.

So for everyone’s sake, spare the overrated bouquet of flowers or box of chocolates, and take your mom out to experience things for FREE!

(Well, these things are free for her. You’ll likely still have to pay for yourself and anyone else.)

Here’s a selection across the country.

Florida Aquarium (Tampa, FL)
Moms are admitted this weekend for free. Take your kids with you and go check out the galleries of more than 20,000 sea creatures, penguins, and ring-tailed lemurs. Tickets are likely cheaper online.

College Football Hall of Fame (Atlanta, GA)
Moms can be admitted for free to the College Football Hall of Fame with the purchase of another regular priced ticket. Moms can casually enjoy a mimosa while receiving a free manicure and chair massage from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rienzi (Houston, TX)
If mom likes gardens and art, Rienzi is the spot to go in Houston. All mothers will enjoy complimentary admission and a fresh flower on Mother’s Day. Tours begin every half hour. The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston offers even more for mothers on their website.

Kentucky Kingdom (Louisville, KY)
This theme park will be offering free admission to moms on Mother’s Day. The park is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The park has introduced its fifth roller coaster this year and it’s expected to be wild.

Toledo Zoo (Toledo, OH)
This year the Toledo Zoo is celebrating in support of Missing Orangutan Mothers (M.O.M.). The zoo wants to help raise awareness and educate people on the dangers of the animal’s native habitat. In addition, the zoo offers free admission to all moms when they bring their kids along. If you get there early enough, enjoy brunch — with all the mammals around you.
