It shall be unlawful for any person to sell a consumer fuel, at wholesale or retail, in an area and during a period of an energy emergency covered by a proclamation issued under paragraph (2) at a price that—
(a) is unconscionably excessive; and
indicates the seller is exploiting the circumstances related to an energy emergency to increase prices unreasonably.

This has to be suspicious especially at a time when worldwide, Humanity is facing many very serious energy crises – especially as concerns electricity availability. I wonder how long it would take a “government” with bad intent ( chose one at random ! ) to decide that cutting out vehicular travel capabilities ( you can’t use your car / van / trailer !!! ) would serve the governments’ purposes quite nicely ? ( and thereby keep you under control .)
