We certainly were not expecting this!
Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel is known for using his platform to speak out against President Trump — repeatedly calling for his impeachment and saying he’s a “racist.”
Wednesday night, however, Kimmel sang a different tune. The comedian, who is from Las Vegas, complimented the president on his remarks during his visit to the city in the aftermath of the devastating shooting earlier this week.
“He stuck to his script, he thanked the first responders, he didn’t brag about his hotel there,” Kimmel said. “He did good today! He really did.”
Of course, the comedian used a condescending and sarcastic tone during all of this — but it’s a start! Perhaps Kimmel is trying to appeal to his conservative viewers after taking such a hard line against the president over the last few weeks.
