Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) brooked no nonsense when he told his GOP colleagues in the Senate that publicly trash President Donald Trump and refuse to advance his agenda to “shut up and do your job.”

The president is currently embroiled in an ongoing feud with anti-Trump Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) and vocal critic Sen Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) — both of whom announced they would not be running for reelection in 2018. Cruz told conservative radio host Mark Davis on Wednesday that it’s high-time the Republican majority in the Senate starts advancing the agenda the president campaigned upon so successfully in 2016.

“It’s like you’re back in junior high. … We’ve got a job to do, dammit, and so all of this nonsense, I got nothing to say on it. Everyone shut up and do your job, is my view,” Cruz said.

When asked specifically about Flake and Corker and their obstinacy against Trump and certain aspects of his agenda, Cruz said that the American people are “frustrated” by that kind of behavior from their elected officials.

“Alright big boys, we got a majority and you know who it is who is screwing up governing? It’s the so-called elder statesman moderates,” Cruz said.
