Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell spoke at a Rotary Club gathering in Kentucky on Monday, and during his address he said it was “extremely irritating” that Congress has the reputation of not having accomplished much.

What was his excuse for appearing that way? President Trump’s “excessive expectations.”

The Senator said “our new president has, of course, not been in this line of work before. And I think he had excessive expectations about how quickly things happen in the democratic process.”

McConnell continued to explain that he thinks our president didn’t understand the “complexity of legislating.” Watch the clip above to see his excuses.
