On Thursday’s episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the host discussed President Trump’s recent interview with “The New York Times” in which he said he was “angry” at Attorney Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia investigation. Trump even went as far as to say if he had to do it again, he would hire someone else as attorney general.

Now, the president is facing backlash from many of his supporters and the media for turning on Sessions, who has been one of his unwavering supporters over the years.

Carlson laid into Trump for this on his show, saying, “going forward, pay a little less attention to ‘The New York Times’ and a little more to Matt Drudge and for God’s sake, lay off Jeff Sessions. He’s your friend. One of the very few you have in Washington.”
