Tucker Carlson opened his show Wednesday night by discussing the day’s biggest news: Kathy Griffin’s backlash over posting a photo of herself holding (a fake) President Trump’s severed head.

Carlson condemned the photo, as many pundits have on both sides of the aisle. The host said Griffin “hasn’t been funny in years” and “people clap for her not because they’re amused, but because they agree with her politics.”

He then continued his monologue by naming many comedians who are no longer funny — and its all politics’ fault.

“Humor is dead; politics killed it,” said Carlson. Watch the clip above to see why.
