During an appearance on “The View” Monday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tried to claim that she was never one of the Democrats who called for former FBI Director James Comey’s firing.

Host Sunny Hostin addressed Pelosi, saying “you yourself have said that you thought that Comey’s behavior was inappropriate, his actions were inappropriate, and that he should be fired.”

That’s when the lawmaker cut Hostin off — “I never said he should be fired. No. What I said was when he — what he did as far as Hillary Clinton was concerned was — he couldn’t take the heat for it.”

Hostin pushed back on this, even saying “You said he was not in the right job.”

Watch Pelosi’s defense to this in the clip above.
