Liberal Senator Chuck Schumer appeared on “The Lead with Jake Tapper” Tuesday night and discussed the existing problems with Obamacare and the Republicans’ plan to repeal and replace it.

Tapper correctly noted to the senator that “insurance companies are pulling out of Obamacare exchanges, that premiums have gone up, that despite President Obama’s promises a lot of people who like their doctors didn’t get to keep their doctors.”

Schumer immediately went into defense mode — and incredulously blamed Obamacare’s problems on the GOP. “The reason that the exchanges are having trouble is because of what the Trump administration and the Republicans are doing,” said the senator.

The host reminded Schumer that insurance companies were pulling out long before Trump came into office — watch his weak defense above.
