House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi spoke at the Center for American Progress Ideas Conference Tuesday, and goaded the audience into cheering for Democratic mega donor Donald Sussman.
Sussman was one of the largest donors to the Democratic party in 2016, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
The mega-donor introduced Pelosi at the conference, and after she took the stage the lawmaker gushed, “may I just say, many honors are afforded to a member of Congress, but being introduced by Donald Sussman is high among them.”
Pelosi then looked for Sussman in the audience, but could not find him. Instead, she asked the silent crowd to cheer for him. Watch the clip above.
