Seth Meyers — along with most of his fellow late night television hosts — has been a long-known critic of Fox News.

On his show last night, however, Meyers was singing a different tune. The host was reporting on the incident in which Montana GOP congressional candidate (and now-winner) Greg Gianforte allegedly body-slammed Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs.

Several Fox News reporters were in the room when this happened, and told the media their sides of the story. They generally backed Jacobs’ account of the incident, although reporter Alicia Acuna told LifeZette Editor-in-Chief Laura Ingraham on Thursday that she initially had misstated that Gianforte had put his hands around Jacobs’ neck.

Although Meyers should not have been surprised that the Fox News reporters were telling the truth, he was — and he thanked them for it on national television. Watch the clip above.
