At his rally in Louisville, Kentucky Monday night, President Donald Trump told the audience about a news item he saw that day: NFL owners don’t want to hire quarterback Colin Kaepernick because they don’t want backlash from the president on Twitter.

This news was delivered to enthusiastic applause from the audience. President Trump continued to fire up the Louisville crowd, noting that he knows that people in the state of Kentucky don’t like it when people don’t stand for the national anthem.
