Earlier this week, America heard that Netflix was partnering with Barack and Michelle Obama in a multiyear deal on a variety of entertainment content.

It’s an unsurprising move for the former president and former first lady —  they seemed much more interested in rubbing shoulders with the stars during their time in office than in actually governing.

So what kind of content will the two be creating? Will they use Netflix’s platform as a means to simply indoctrinate more and more people with extreme leftist ideology — or what?

Though no specific projects have been announced, Barack Obama gave some hints as to what kind of “stories” he and his wife will be telling through Netflix.

“We want to tell stories. This [Netflix deal] becomes a platform. We are interested in lifting people up and identifying people [who are] doing amazing work,” Obama told a Las Vegas tech conference, according to Business Insider.

He added that listening to people’s stories is what helped him serve better as president. He said he wants to produce projects “we think are important, and lift up and identify talent, that can amplify the connections between all of us. I continue to believe that if we are hearing each other’s stories and recognizing ourselves in each other, then our democracy works.”

One comment by Obama that raised a few eyebrows was his goal about helping to “train the next generation of leaders.”

The former president can wax poetic about the variety of “stories” he’ll tell via Netflix — but that comment is quite telling. It appears Obama wants nothing more than to use storytelling as a means of influencing young people into buying into the hype of leftism and — even more likely — his own empty legacy as president.
