There’s nothing quite like Super Bowl ads. Companies spend millions of dollars on these commercials, stars line up to star in them, and tens of millions of people watch and dissect these expensive bits of television showcases.

Some are unforgettable and even, at times, emotional. Others are downright terrible.

This year was no different — as every commercial shot for the stars. And a few missed badly.

Here’s a look at some of the best and worst ads from Super Bowl LII — a game that the Philadelphia Eagles won, 41-33, by the way, over the New England Patriots for Philadelphia’s first big-time success.

BEST
Danny DeVito / M&Ms. The casting is what saved this ad. Which one actor could convincingly play an M&M? If any name besides Danny DeVito comes out of your mouth, you’d be wrong.

Chris Pratt / Michelob Ultra. “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Jurassic World” star Pratt poked fun at himself with this ad. He’s shown humorously working out and preparing to star in a Michelob Ultra commercial — only to find out the part isn’t exactly as big as his recent roles. He also later showed up in another Ultra ad to join in on a song about loving beer.

Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. / NFL. Their touchdown “celebration” took a fun and surprising “Dirty Dancing” turn in this entertaining commercial for the NFL.

Keanu Reeves / Squarespace. This ad was as bizarre and head-scratching as you would think a Super Bowl commercial starring Keanu Reeves would be. Bottom line: Reeves surfing on a motorcycle while promoting a web-building service is exactly what America needs right now. If we can’t unite over our love for the star of films like “Point Break,” “Bill & Ted,” “Speed,” and “John Wick” — then what is left for us?

Jeff Goldblum / Jeep. Before the always quirky but lovable Goldblum could reprise the role of his “Jurassic Park” character, Ian Malcolm, in the upcoming “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” he brought it back for a Super Bowl commercial.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

For anyone who remembers the famous dinosaur-chasing scene in which Malcolm watches in terror from the back of a Jeep, it was some wonderful revenge for Goldblum’s character.

This is how Super Bowl commercials are done. This one was more memorable and enjoyable than the actual trailer for “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” — which also aired during the game.

WORST
#BleepDontStink / Febreze. What a sad attempt at going viral. The folks at Febreze must have thought they were pretty clever here. If #BleepDontStink actually ends up catching on and trending — the culture will continue to crumble.

Besides, who wants a commercial about how the people around you stink (especially while you’re trying to enjoy a football game)? This was a total misstep of a commercial.

Doritos / Mountain Dew. These inter-connected ads were perfect examples of the belief in going big merely to justify the millions upon millions already being spent on airtime.

Seeing Peter Dinklage and Morgan Freeman lip-syncing to rap songs wasn’t fun for viewers, it was just … weird. And not interesting or good weird — just “weird” weird.

These special effects-heavy ads should also be warnings to other companies for the future, along these lines: Keep things simple and interesting. And don’t throw everything at the screen just because you’re paying a fortune.
