Like so many Americans, actor Scott Baio is mad.

“I’m fed up,” says the “Charles in Charge” star. And that’s why Baio is endorsing Donald Trump. “When he speaks, I understand him. He speaks like I speak,” Baio said in a recent Fox News interview. “He communicates with people very well. I want him as [all] any one person can do is to go into Washington and blow it up.”

Baio, 55, added that the Democrats are “going to attack whomever the Republican nominee is, and we need somebody to relentlessly, relentlessly attack Hillary [Clinton]. And that’s the only way we’re going to win.”

Baio’s declaration is the latest in a line of recent Trump alignments to suddenly surface from typically Left-leaning liberal Hollywood.

“There are definitely more conservatives in Hollywood than anyone would expect,” Ann Coulter tells The Daily Beast in a story that says she’s been “trolling” for Trump in Los Angeles. “I always say that if they all came out at once, they’d realize they’re a majority.”

She has been making the case for showbiz industry insiders to support Trump by sending around clips and schmoozing with stars such as Clint Eastwood. “Hollywood should support him for all sorts of reasons, not least of which is the fact that it’s impossible to get around in L.A. with 2 million illegals on the road. On the other hand, Hollywood liberals may have to start paying their maids more.”

Add to that news of a recent Friends of Abe meeting, a group run by director Jeremy Boreing and described by The Hollywood Reporter as some 200 “conservative Republicans,” many of whom are backing Trump.

“For every Cruz or Rubio supporter I talk to, there are 10 Trump supporters,” one unnamed wealth manager with showbiz clients told THR. The wealth manager says largely liberal Hollywood may align with Hillary or Bernie Sanders, but the reality will hit them in their bank accounts. “I tell them, ‘If you don’t want to feel the Bern, convert your IRAs now rather than pay his 92 percent tax rate.’ I know they like their Teslas, private schools and million-dollar mansions, but they won’t afford all that if they’re allowed to keep only 8 percent of their income.”

Many stars and industry types just don’t want to admit to liking Trump, as author Bret Easton Ellis tweeted.

Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, recently voiced his support for Trump and was pummeled on Twitter with personal attacks, calling him “racist,” “xenophobic,” and “sexist.”

After one user urged others to tell Carter’s management team to drop him for supporting “bigotry,” Carter responded, “You have NO RIGHT to bully me and do this over my political views … you need to stop I said the things I don’t condone.” But he backed off a bit from his public support of Trump, vowing to keep his views to himself.

But not all stars are afraid to speak out.

Wayne Newton said months ago, “I love Donald, and he would make a great president.”

Mike Tyson voiced his clear support in January, saying in a Daily Beast interview, “I’ve been through a lot in life. And I know him. When I see him, he shakes my hand and respects my family. None of them — Barack, whoever — nobody else does that. They’re gonna be who they are and disregard me, my family. So I’m voting for him. If I can get 20,000 people or more to vote for him, I’m gonna do it.”

But what about Trump’s proposed ban on Muslims entering the country?  “It’s just not gonna happen,” said Tyson, who converted to Islam. “He’s just not gonna do that. Congress just won’t do that. But that doesn’t mean he can’t be president, you know what I mean?”

“Ray Donovan” star Jon Voight, father to Angelina Jolie, publicly backed Trump on March 8, saying, “I pray all Americans who have seen and felt the meltdown of America with the Obama years, to please fight for Donald Trump.” Voight told Breitbart, “He’s an answer to our problems.”

Actor Robert Davi also isn’t afraid to lend his voice to the Trump campaign. “We should thank God that Trump is in this race. The media and the Establishment are terrified,” Davi wrote in a story for Breitbart’s Big Hollywood.

Others who are supporting Trump include longtime well-known conservative stars Ted Nugent and Kid Rock, actors Stephen Baldwin, Lou Ferrigno, Gary Busey and “Duck Dynasty” family members, including Willie Robertson.

Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura have both said they’d like to be Trump’s running mate. Last summer, Ventura told a local Minnesota TV station, “This country needs to be shaken up. It needs to be shaken to its very core, and Donald Trump is doing that.”
