It took less than five minutes for Golden Globes host Seth Meyers to lob some tired jabs at the president on Sunday night.

First pointing to attendee Seth Rogen, Meyers said, “Remember when he was the guy making trouble with North Korea?”

The joke was a reference to President Donald Trump’s tussles with North Korea — and to Rogen’s 2014 film “The Interview,” which controversially depicted the death of a fictional version of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

Meyers then quickly followed up by saying that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is behind the Golden Globes, is an organization with a name that “could not have been better designed to better infuriate our president.”

Meyers also later asked Oprah Winfrey to run for president.

Much of the rest of Meyers’ opening monologue was aimed at people like Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey — yet it was still sad to see him fall into the trap so many predicted he would.

It took him less than the time of a commercial to turn into just another anti-Trump troll with nothing original to say.
