Apparently Jimmy Kimmel has completely forgotten why he was ever given a late-night platform.

And he’s lost any and all ability to differentiate between humor and derision.

On the heels of the historic 140th Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn of 1600 Pennsylvania this week, the unfunny man and self-anointed flack for Obamacare took a vicious swipe Monday night on his show at first lady Melania Trump, who appeared as poised at the White House event as she was elegant.

Wearing a baby blue belted pea coat with oversized black buttons, the first lady, who speaks five languages, read from the children’s book “YOU!” by Sandra Magsamen — about big dreams and how to achieve them.

Sadly (but not surprisingly), Kimmel ridiculed the first lady’s accent.

Then, after playing a short video for his audience of her reading aloud at the Easter Egg Roll at the White House, he attempted to impersonate her.

Pushing the poor taste, he turned to his sidekick and said, “Guillermo, you know what this means? You could be first lady of the United States.”

Even Kimmel fans were outraged by his offensive remarks about the country’s first lady — some even noted the blatant hypocrisy, according to Project Republic Today.

“I love your show and I love it when you take on [President Donald] Trump. But mocking Melania for her accent was a rare misstep. Doesn’t she speak several languages? (And isn’t that a good thing in a first lady?)” one fan asked Kimmel on Twitter.

“Classy. Making fun of the first lady,” another wrote, along with a face-palm emoji.

“If this was some random foreigner, you people would NEVER make fun of their accent and risk offending them. What a bunch of [hypocrites] you are. You should be ashamed that you’re allowed on television,” a Twitter user also said to Kimmel.

LifeZette recently reported on a national poll of 1,000 likely voters, three-fourths of whom said they agreed with this statement: “When I watch live sports or entertainment shows on television, I am trying to get away from politics and do not want to be bombarded with partisan political messages,” according to new data from McLaughlin & Associates.

In other words — 75 percent of folks polled more than likely do not want to hear Kimmel rant about our elegant, beautiful and classy first lady. They do not want to hear him say about her, as he actually did Monday night, “Not a chance she did one thing to help set that up [the White House Easter event] … She didn’t dye eggs, she didn’t fill baskets. The only thing she’s been working on is an escape tunnel.”

Bad. Just bad.
