“PC madness” is how Laura Ingraham, host of Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” referred Friday night to the recent decision by the school board in Dallas, Texas, to rename three schools currently named after Confederate generals.
The politically correct decision means that in the new school year, Robert E. Lee Elementary will change its name to Geneva Heights Elementary; Stonewall Jackson Elementary will become Mockingbird Elementary; and William L. Cabell Elementary will become Chapel Hill Preparatory.

“This is bold leadership by this board,” said Dallas school board trustee Miguel Solis, according to dallasnews.com. “And it’s going to lay the path for not just acknowledgment of the history, but also a path for remediation, and for real conversations about equity and equality and how to move our city forward for every single child to feel like they matter in this city, regardless of circumstances.”
But Ingraham described the decision — clearly a response to recent social movements to remove statues of Confederate generals in the South — as “Orwellian.”
Kids have “a right to their entire history … not some redacted version.”
After comparing the move to communist Joseph Stalin’s attempts to erase history, Ingraham asked, “What do we learn about the past by forgetting about the past?”

Children, the Fox News host argued, have “a right to their entire history … not some redacted version.”
This “PC revisionist history” happening in Texas, she pointed out, does not provide the proper link to the past from which children learn and grow.
