#OscarsSoWoke: Jimmy Kimmel’s Desperate Liberal Talking Points

Late-night host did everything expected in record time — attacked Fox News, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, and touted #MeToo, #TimesUp, and gun control

Academy Awards host Jimmy Kimmel seemed desperate to continually top his “woke” factor during his opening monologue Sunday night.

The late-night host hit all the expected talking points and managed to do so before the ceremony had even hit the 15-minute mark.

#Metoo, #TimesUp, Donald Trump, Parkland, Fox News — he hit ’em all. Laughs were secondary to the soapbox beneath him and his desperation to be praised by the liberal media.

“Oscar,” said Kimmel, referring to the “Oscar” statue that Academy Award winners walk away with, “is 90 years old right now, which means he’s probably at home right now watching Fox News.”

The host also brought up the controversial “Call Me By Your Name,” a film nominated for Best Picture, which follows the romance between a 24-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy. The film has made peanuts at the box office compared to its fellow nominees.

“We don’t make movies like ‘Call Me By Your Name’ to make money,” said Kimmel. “We make them to upset Mike Pence.”

As promised, Kimmel also attacked President Donald Trump before the first winner was even announced. Kimmel said Trump praised "Get Out," a film nominated for Best Picture, that examines racism in America from people of all political persuasions, as "the best first three quarters of a movie this year."

The last quarter of the movie features the black protagonist fighting back against his white captors.

Despite the endless left-wing nonsense Kimmel threw out while trying to avoid laughs and earn pats on the back from other leftist celebrities, the comedian said the ceremony was meant to be "a night for positivity."

Yeah, right. That's about as believable as the idea that Kimmel is still trying to inspire actual laughs.
