The fate of the right-leaning sitcom “Last Man Standing” was up in the air for a long time, but the series now, finally, has a return date.

Tim Allen’s comedy will officially come back to the small screen on September 28. Its seventh season will air on Fox this time around, instead of original network ABC.

The program, which follows an old-school conservative patriarch (Allen) as he navigates a quickly changing PC world, was canceled last year with little explanation.

It was one of ABC’s highest-rated shows, but it got the ax nevertheless.

Many felt the decision came down to politics — and that network executives did not want to be attached to a conservative-focused show.

“Last Man Standing” is returning at just the right time. It will fill the void left by “Roseanne,” which was recently canceled due to a controversial tweet from its Trump-supporting star, Roseanne Barr.

Though that series is continuing with most of the cast in “The Conners,” it is unlikely it will be as conservative-friendly without Barr’s involvement.
