Megyn Kelly’s show has hit yet another low in total viewers. To make matters worse, the most recent episode of “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly” earned less viewers than a years-old rerun of “Dateline” did the week before for NBC, the network that runs both programs.

Only 3.21 million viewers tuned in to see Kelly’s reporting on Sunday night.

This was after the show had taken a one-week break. The episode before the break was the worst-rated at the time, with 3.4 million viewers. To put that in perspective, a years old rerun of “Dateline” aired on the week Kelly’s show took a break and earned 3.73 million viewers.

In the key 18-49 age demo, the news is even worse for NBC’s reportedly $17 million or more investment: The show got a .4 rating, which is down 50 percent from the premiere episode.

The drop in ratings week-to-week and the major controversies surrounding Kelly’s reporting spell a very uncertain future for her.

While she was supposed to be a star for her new network and eventually move into more hosting and reporting duties, it doesn’t take an expert to see that NBC may be looking for an out very soon.

It appears that the people have spoken — and that Kelly’s brand of deceptive reporting and air-headed interviewing is not viewers’ preferred way of getting their news.
