Many celebrities infect today’s popular culture with their divisive and hypocritical rhetoric.

They don’t like the person who is in the Oval Office and they certainly don’t like it when people outside of their ivory towers disagree with them.

However — celebrities aren’t the only ones with cultural voices. Welcome to the ninth weekly roundup by LifeZette of Hollywood ridiculousness.

Drake, one of the world’s most popular rappers, had some harsh words for President Donald Trump at a concert in England. Video of his anti-Trump rant began going viral on Monday of this week.

“For some reason in my room, they got the TV set to CNN. Every day I wake up, I see this bullsh** going on in the world,” the rapper said to the crowd. “People trying to tear us apart, trying to make us turn against each other.”

The Grammy-winning musician added, “So tonight, my proudest moment isn’t selling tickets or having people sing my songs. My proudest moment, if you take a look around this room — you’ll see people from all races, all places, and all we did tonight was come inside this building, show love, celebrate life, more life and more music.”

He continued by taking on Trump more directly, yet without the courage to say the man’s actual name: “I just want you to understand, if you ever thought for one second that any one man is gonna tear this world apart, you’re out of your mothaf****** mind. It’s on us to keep this sh** together. ”

As usual, a celebrity is all about unity and “love” — as long as you don’t happen to politically disagree with him.

Lena Dunham, the actress and creator of “Girls,” revealed that since Trump was elected to the White House, she has lost weight. She blamed the weight loss on the president. “Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food,” the actress told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show Monday.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

She added, “Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight.”

It’s getting a little tiring hearing celebrities act as if their worlds are crumbling because Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States. In what way have their lives changed? Dunham is still a filmmaker and actress living out her dream with a show, “Girls” — one that for their own reasons, Hollywood and the media seem to love. So what is the problem?

James Franco revealed not too long ago that he, too, had entered a state of depression because of Trump’s presidential victory. Franco is a well-respected artist with roles in major upcoming films like “Alien: Covenant.”

Perhaps these actors are depressed. Perhaps Dunham does feel “hopelessness” and “devastation,” but to blame it on a presidential election that likely had little to no direct effect on one’s life is silly and self-indulgent. It’s also offensive to people suffering from real depression. They’re the ones with REAL problems — problems with keeping jobs, feeding families, problems with violence, and so much more.

It may be time to actually thank celebrities who make political PSAs. Yes, they are snarky and annoying and sometimes downright strange, but they give people more reason to give a cold shoulder to the Left.

Videos in which celebrities look seriously into a camera and preach about politics, or try to be funny — while also being supremely stuck up — are likely part of the reason Donald Trump won the presidential election. Hillary Clinton relied on endless ads in which celebrities disparaged Trump or ordered the rest of America to vote a certain way. Hint: It didn’t work. You’d think they would have learned their lesson. Alas, they have not.

Susan Sarandon, Shailene Woodley, Lizzy Caplan, Cara Delevingne, and others took part in yet another celebrity PSA – this time for the always reliably liberal Funny or Die.

They “joked” that President Trump was working from an “alternative Constitution” when applying his temporary refugee ban — but no mention of President Obama taking similar action while in office was to be found in the video.

“He’s working from the wrong Constitution and he doesn’t even know it,” said “Suicide Squad” actress Cara Delevingne in the video.

“We only know of two copies [of the alternative Constitution], one of which archaeologists found cradled in the mouth of a large golden snake-pig deity hidden in a deep underground cave,” said “West Wing” star Dulé Hill. “Trump was accidentally given the other copy when he was a teen.”

At this point, these videos are just … difficult to watch. It’s sad. They almost, almost make you feel bad for the celebrities that choose to take part in the sinking ship.

And Now, for a Positive Note …

Lady Gaga earned massive praise for her Super Bowl halftime performance. Many speculated the musician would exploit her stage and turn it into a political soapbox like so many other celebs as of late, but Gaga did not. She stuck to entertaining, and it was a magnificent performance. On the heels of the divisive rhetoric celebrities had been throwing out, it was a unifying moment for pop culture.

The nonpolitical performance paid off for Gaga. According to Nielsen Music, the singer sold around 150,000 digital albums and songs in the United States on Sunday. That equated to an increase in sales of 1,000 percent over the previous day. All of the songs Gaga played saw significant increases in digital sales.

Unfortunately, the media elites and the Left did not think too highly of Lady Gaga’s sole focus on her music as opposed to spreading the anti-Trump political messages so many other celebrities had started. The Los Angeles Times said of the halftime show, “Lady Gaga misses her Super Bowl moment to say something profound.” Variety and The Washington Post called the performance “safe.”

Meanwhile, audiences responded positively to the performance and the Hillary Clinton supporter earned praises from right-leaning outlets and conservative commentators. To Lady Gaga, we say thank you. Thank you for choosing to use your art to unite, rather than divide. And please don’t disappoint us at the Grammy Awards.
