“Trump is a Nazi. The debate is over.”

So says filmmaker Judd Apatow.

He’s one of many Hollywood producers whose Twitter account has devolved into daily meltdowns over anything and everything the current president does.

The “Knocked Up” and “Trainwreck” director called Trump a Nazi when he was responding to a tweet from “The Big Sick” actor Kumail Nanjiani, who was also wearing out the tiresome and inaccurate Nazi/Trump comparisons.

“I know there are a bunch of people upset at the Nazi comparisons, but the highlighting-crimes-by-immigrants move is literally what the Nazis did, with Jews instead of immigrants. A surefire way to stop being compared to Nazis is to stop acting like them,” tweeted Nanjiani.

Apatow, who produced “Big Sick,” responded by going a step further.

“He’s a Nazi. He wants no judicial process. He kidnapped children and commits acts of violence for political gain and to support his racist views. He admires violent dictators. Trump is a Nazi. The debate is over. Soon we will have proof he is a Nazi supported by the Russians,” this man actually tweeted.

This is not the first time the Hollywood producer has compared the enforcement of border security and existing laws to the actions of Nazi Germany. He tweeted last week, “We all have always heard about concentration camps and thought about what we would have done if we were alive at that time … Well, we are now. What are you going to do? How are you going to speak up? How will you protest?”

To say that living under President Donald Trump is in any way similar to living under a ruthless dictator like Hitler or that America is running concentration camps shows a severe and almost incredible lack of knowledge when it comes to history — and also displays the vast isolation of many in Hollywood.

They are so cut off from the real world that ridiculous and extreme comparisons like these seem natural to them.
