“I used to think of myself as a progressive.” Those are the words of  comedian Joe Rogan on a recent episode of his podcast, when he was interviewing professor Bert Weinstein, an educator who has been challenged as a racist at Evergreen State College by faculty members and protesting students. The man’s racist crime? He objected in March to being forced to take diversity-training courses and to being forced to leave campus with other white people for a “day of absence” protest.

“There is a huge difference between a group or coalition deciding to voluntarily absent themselves from a shared space in order to highlight their vital and underappreciated roles … and a group or coalition encouraging another group to go away,” wrote Weinstein in a now-public email to his fellow faculty members. “The first is a forceful call to consciousness, which is, of course, crippling to the logic of oppression. The second is a show of force, and an act of oppression in and of itself.”

“The Left is attacking itself now,” said Rogan after hearing about some of Weinstein’s experiences in dealing with the modern-day college campus. “There’s no one who is progressive enough.”

Rogan continued, “Every single thing you do is a microaggression … We’re going crazy.”

Weinstein responded by saying, “This is, literally, it’s not an individual psychosis, but it’s a collective psychosis that we’re watching.” Weinstein said the modern college campus liberals who are touting safe spaces, extreme political correctness, and protesting free speech are taking part in “group insanity.”

Rogan was recently named one of the 100 most influential Libertarians in a Newsmax list. But he’s not the first artist to call out the modern Left and extremists on college campuses.

Fellow podcaster and comedian Adam Carolla just finished successfully crowdfunding a documentary called “No Safe Spaces,” in which he and conservative commentator Dennis Prager will be visiting college campuses and talking to liberal professors and students firsthand.
