Jennifer Lopez has become the latest Hollywood celebrity to get caught spreading fake news.

The “Shades of Blue” actress recently used her Instagram account to promote two debunked photos.

The first was a now-viral photo of a young girl who many people thought had been separated from her family at the border — but that suggestion has been proven false.

Lopez has yet to acknowledge the error.

She posted a long message with the photo of the crying girl.

“Reading the news about the separation of children from their families, I can’t help but think about my own children. I cannot fathom a world where they would be ripped from my arms, taken to a place no better than a prison far from home. I feel we will never forget this moment in time. Bearing witness to these atrocities and that’s what they are, I can say for sure, remaining silent is not an option,” Lopez wrote.

She later told her 76 million followers to “get caught up on the situation” and then to call their representatives and demand answers.

She added, “Supporting one another in these troubled times, we can remain on the right side of history: the side where children are safe and in their parents arms. Act now, call now, speak now, LOVE now.”

Another photo that was shared on Lopez’s account was one the actress and musician has since deleted.

It was a photo of people crying as a fence separates them — but the picture is actually from Mosul, Iraq, in 2014. Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren called out Lopez for the photo, but the actress has yet to respond.

Lopez is not the first celebrity to spread fake news, so this shouldn’t be surprising.

It does, however, speak volumes about the lack of depth in the thinking among current leftists who are so caught up in anti-Trump hysteria that they don’t check their facts or the so-called news before they share it.
