It’s more than sad how hopeful leftist celebrities have become that Robert Mueller will somehow find a way to take down the current president.

“I don’t know if you know this, but today is a very notable day in the USA, the one-year anniversary of collusion-palooza. One year ago today, Robert Mueller was named special counsel for the Russia investigation. Our president had a special message on Twitter this morning to celebrate that fact. He wrote, ‘Congratulations, America, we are now into the second year of the greatest witch hunt in American history,'” said late-night host Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night on his show.

He continued, “Well, congrats to you, old pal, we’ve come a long way. He started with congratulations America. I was hoping he was going to end with ‘I quit.'”

“But no. A big day,” he added. “Robert Mueller had a bouquet of long-stemmed subpoenas delivered to the White House. Hard to believe it’s been a year since we found out our president doesn’t know how to spell the word ‘counsel.'”

It’s sad what passes for comedy these days, especially when it’s from leftists like Jimmy Kimmel.

It would in no way help the country for Mueller’s wasteful investigation to succeed — yet people like Kimmel continue to pump their fists in the hope that this country and the president fail.
