Comedian Drew Carey let everyone know that the price was right to support Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson — by hosting a fundraiser at his Los Angeles home over the weekend.

The fundraiser reportedly pulled in some $100,000 for Johnson’s campaign, according to the Los Angeles Times, and approximately 145 guests were in attendance.

In a political climate in which everything seems to be slightly ludicrous, the rising popularity of a serious third-party candidate seems just on par. To make matters more absurd, Carey urged supporters to dress “Libertarian comfortable” — and most guests sported jeans, cocktails dresses, and any attire they deemed comfortable.

Johnson served as the Republican governor of New Mexico from 1994 to 2003 and ran for president on the Libertarian ticket in 2012.

Even though the Republican National Convention gave Donald Trump a bounce in popularity in several polls and the Democratic National Convention lovefest for Hillary Clinton is just now getting underway, there are still plenty of pundits — and voters — saying a third-party candidate could gain some traction. Johnson, according to the most recent polls, is averaging around 10 percent, according to the Observer. A candidate needs 15 percent to be included in the November debates.

Despite some of his more outlandish views, Johnson tends to be fiscally conservative, liberal in the social sphere, and relatively non-interventionist when it comes to foreign affairs.

The Hollywood fundraiser also saw the famous faces of Diedrich Bader, Carey’s co-star on the “The Drew Carey Show,” and former NBA star and commentator Kenny Smith. In addition, Nirvana’s bassist, Krist Novoselic, made an appearance.

Although big-name Hollywood celebrities tend to side with liberal Hillary Clinton, Johnson has been endorsed by a few other slightly well-known names including Benjamin Allbright of CBS Sports, NFL quarterback Rudy Carpenter, Ben Kissel (host of “The Ben Kissel Show”), and former “20/20” anchor John Stossel, now a host on Fox Business.

Johnson has chosen former Massachusetts Governor William Weld as his running mate.

“You have to create this notion that you might actually win,” Johnson said, according to the LA Times. “For a sophisticated few at the moment, there is that recognition. I think that’s going to get bigger as you go forward.”
