Four Actors We Wish Would Come Out of Retirement
These performers have hung up their hats, but we'd like them back as soon as possible, please
Retirement is not often in the cards for artists or other creative people, who have the need to express themselves through their work no matter what the calendar tells them. Just look at 87-year old Clint Eastwood, who is currently hard at work on his next directorial effort.
Then there was the recently deceased, 88-year-old Adam West — who worked until the very end.
While it's not common, some artists do hang up their hats and ride off into the sunset for good, never to look back. It's a sad thing for those who relish their work and their contributions, and it's hard not to wonder about the great projects that could have emerged had those artists not walked away from the business.
It's not out of the question for retired actors to be tempted back into working, of course. The long-retired Jack Nicholson and Joe Pesci were both recently said to be starring in new projects; many people hadn't been sure if they'd ever return to Hollywood.
