Performing the national anthem in front of a crowd can be a great honor for a singer — but it can also be a nerve-wracking experience.

Often, the pressure can get to a musician so much that the individual winds up flubbing a lyric or two in front of millions.

It could be the added pressure of the song and its importance — or it could be the fear of joining the ranks of those who have messed up before and forever live in embarrassment. It could be sheer humanity — no one’s perfect. Either way, even the best sometimes stumble at the microphone.

Country music trio Lady Antebellum even flubbed a line at an NHL playoff game between the Nashville Predators and Winnipeg Jets this past weekend.

You can watch the musicians obviously skip a line — and then rebound below.

The trio were good sports about it later and admitted the mistake on Twitter.

They are far from the first to make such a mistake. Here’s a look at five other musicians who have messed up the national anthem.

1.) Christina Aguilera. Singing at Super Bowl XLV, Aguilera got lost in her own performance. After letting out “through the perilous fight,” she accidentally took a step backward and re-sang, “What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming.”

2.) James Taylor. The “Sweet Baby James” and “You’ve Got a Friend” crooner (shown above right) sang the national anthem at Game 2 of the 2013 World Series, but he started off by belting out the wrong tune.

Taylor began his performance by singing “America the Beautiful,” but quickly fixed his mistake and jumped to the anthem.

3.) Michael Bolton. Bolton sang the national anthem at Game 4 of the 2003 American League Championship Series and very obviously forgot a few lines. At one point, the singer even took a quick break and glanced at a cheat sheet with the lyrics to the national anthem on his hand.

4.) Alexis Normand. The Canadian singer (shown above left) had the opportunity to sing the national anthem at a Memorial Cup hockey game in 2013, but she didn’t seem to be able to handle the pressure.

Instead of misplacing or forgetting lyrics, Normand seemed to go completely blank at one point — and she simply began humming to the tune. The crowd had to chime in to help her out.

5.) Carl Lewis. Lewis may have been a stunning Olympian athlete when it came to track and field, but music is not his forte.

He infamously sang the national anthem in 1993 at the Brendan Byrne Arena in New Jersey. Lewis basically screamed his way through the song and at one point even said, “Uh oh, I’ll make up for it now.”

Spoiler alert: He never made up for it.
