A 30-second Super Bowl ad costs a reported $5 million this year — so it’s only common sense companies will be going “big” when trying to sell their product or service during the big game this weekend.

Super Bowl ads can be as headline-grabbing as the football game itself — which partly explains the hefty price tags. Many viewers even tune into the year’s biggest game just to watch, discuss, and share whatever clever, controversial, or costly commercials make it to air.

As has been typical in the digital age, many of this year’s ads have already been released online for consumers’ viewing pleasure.

Here are five of the best Super Bowl LI ads released so far:

Mercedes: Mercedes’ latest ad comes courtesy of acclaimed directors Joel and Ethan Coen (“No Country for Old Men,” “Fargo”). Featuring “Easy Rider” actor Peter Fonda in a cameo, the ad is slick and funny. Aging bikers discover one of their heroes has blocked their motorcycles in at the bar. The ad has been watched almost 350,000 times as of this writing.

Squarespace: John Malkovich has always been a curious actor. The cerebral film, “Being John Malkovich,” was all about people living inside the character actor’s head. In this humorous Squarespace ad, Malkovich is unable to use “John Malkovich” as the domain name for his website because someone already bought it. The ad has already been viewed nearly 1.5 million times.

Pepsi and Tostitos: Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco explains in this ad how to “save your Super Bowl party” from “party poopers.” Describing himself as a former party pooper himself, Flacco looks into the camera and tells viewers the cure for being a party pooper is to always bring Pepsi and Tostitos. The ad has been viewed over 6 million times — and Flacco’s deadpan delivery is a big part of the ad’s success.

Wix.com: This ad deserves to make the list simply because of the sheer money and planning that must have gone into it. Wix cast action star Jason Statham and “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot in a spot that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense — but sure looks good. Statham and Gadot get into a slick brawl in a restaurant while a chef carelessly builds his website through Wix. The star-studded ad has been viewed almost 4 million times.
