Nick Searcy has enjoyed a big year. He has roles in not one but two serious Oscar contenders, “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” and “The Shape of Water.”

Now he’ll be ending his year in grand fashion — by being the first actor to fill in for popular conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on December 27.

Searcy will be live-hosting the program that day from New York City.

Limbaugh has often talked up Searcy’s show “Justified” on the air, while Searcy has long praised Limbaugh on social media. Searcy has appeared in interviews on the program as well.

“Lots of Hollywood actors have Oscars,” Searcy told LifeZette exclusively about this development. “Only one Hollywood actor has ever guest-hosted the most popular radio talk show in human history. I accept this honor with humility and excitement, and I will endeavor to be worthy of it. Tune in December 27th to see if I am!”

Searcy certainly has a wealth of subjects to choose from for his gig — especially when it comes to the entertainment industry. Hollywood, of course, has been hit with, and hampered by, a rash of sexual misconduct allegations and accusations, and celebrities have become increasingly political and anti-Trump. And now, the always-partisan awards shows are right around the corner.

Searcy is known across social media as a conservative who never backs down from a fight and one who doesn’t mince words when expressing his opinion — so he’ll no doubt have plenty to say about it all.
