Though the popular reality show “Duck Dynasty” is ending this year, viewers can continue to watch the show’s patriarch Phil Robertson on CRTV, a $99-a-year digital subscription service, with a new show announced Thursday.

Called “In the Woods with Phil,” the series will provide Robertson a chance to use his personal life to forward the teachings of Christianity. He will be untethered from the constraints of television, too — so expect a more honest and revealing Robertson than the one we’ve previously seen.

“Here’s the deal, America, these are my woods,” said Robertson in a statement announcing the series. “Out here I call the shots. If you want to hear someone mean what they say and say what they mean; if you want a healthy dose of truth; if you want to hear the name of Jesus without reservation, well, then, I would suggest you come join me in the woods.”

Gaston Mooney, the senior vice president of CRTV, thinks Robertson’s show will be a valuable tool when it comes to the culture wars between conservatives and liberals.

“Our culture and values are being overrun, and progressives are hell-bent on purging traditional values from media. Phil is a Christian, and CRTV is proud to have him proclaim from our platform.”

No matter the platform, “Duck Dynasty” fans are no doubt excited for this new program. “Duck Dynasty” was one of the most successful reality shows of all time and had a loyal following, which led to best-selling merchandise and books.

Robertson was always known for his fiery honesty, which will no doubt serve him well in his new free-form show.
