If you were worried about democracy in this country, you can now rest easy — Jennifer Lawrence is on the case.

The “Hunger Games” star revealed while promoting her new film, “Red Sparrow,” that she is taking a year off from acting to focus on political activism — and she has high hopes.

“I’m going to take the next year off,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m going to be working with this organization I’m a part of: Represent.Us. It’s just trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level.”

She said later that her work will not be as partisan as some may assume.

“It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption — fix our democracy. And then I don’t know what I’m doing next.”

Lawrence has been active in politics before. She told Entertainment Weekly in 2015 that a potential Donald Trump election to the presidency would mean “the end of the world.”

She has also been outspoken about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program former President Barack Obama began by executive order, along with her support for Democrat politicians.

The group with which Lawrence is involved says on its official site that it wants to “bring together conservatives, progressives, and everyone in between to pass powerful anti-corruption laws that stop political bribery, end secret money, and fix our broken elections.”

Who do you think would win the Presidency?
