Most potential dads don’t envision a future where they shuffle up to their kids’ high school graduation with a walker. This is why the majority of males will settle down and have kids in their 20s and 30s.

Hollywood runs itself a little differently. With temptation more prevalent, and younger wives a common occurrence for older celebrity males, Hollywood has more than its fair share of AARP-ready dads.

“I’m a better father this time. I have more time to spend with them, and I guess I care more.”

Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger is the latest senior citizen joining the club. It was recently announced the rocker, age 72, is expecting his eighth child, the first with his 29-year-old girlfriend, ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick. And Jagger is already a great-grandfather. His granddaughter, Assisi Jackson, gave birth in 2014 to a little girl.

Despite some health professionals warning that having children later in life, even for males, can lead to a higher risk for various health and behavior issues, that doesn’t stop Hollywood’s retirement-age lions from constantly surprising the world with announcements of late-life offspring.

Fellow Rolling Stones band mate Ronnie Wood, 69, just recently experienced the birth of his twins with wife, Sally, 38. Just think: He and Jagger might soon be changing nappies together. It’s enough to make a grown man cry.

But Mick and Ronnie are far from alone. Here are some other older Hollywood dads who might have some advice for the rocker.

Steve Martin: Despite his beloved persona as a warm father in franchises like “Father of the Bride” and “Cheaper by the Dozen,” Martin didn’t have his first child until he was 67 years old. After five years of marriage to 41-year-old Anne Stringfield, it was revealed in 2013 that they had welcomed their first child.

However, Jagger may not be getting much advice, at least publicly, from the very private Martin — unless it’s on how to keep the birth a secret. The “Pink Panther” star managed to keep his wife’s pregnancy and child’s birth quiet until it was revealed by the New York Post’s Page Six after the fact. “They’ve had a baby, and how they kept it a secret nobody knows,” a source told Page Six.

Bruce Willis: Father to five daughters, “Die Hard” action star Bruce Willis seems to rank fatherhood way above, say, winning an Oscar (something he’s never done, despite a long and lucrative career in show biz).

“I’m much more proud of being a father than an actor,” Willis is often quoted as saying. The action hero fathered his two youngest daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, when he was 57 and 59.

In an interview promoting 2013’s “A Good Day to Die Hard,” Willis opened up to The Mirror about the birth of his fourth daughter, Mabel, and what it’s like being an older father — words that the ever-prancing Jagger might find encouraging.

“One of the things that makes becoming a father that much easier for me is that I pretty much stay in shape and I can run and jump and play, and being a father at this point in my life is great,” said Willis. “I feel like I have the same amount of love I used to have, if not more. I like getting up early and I like looking after Mabel and it’s just very exciting — it makes me very happy.”

Larry King: The 82-year-old longtime television host has — amazingly — been married eight times. With his most recent wife, Shawn King, he has two children — Chance, born when King was 65, and Cannon, born a year later.

King told OK! Magazine he loves being an old dad, and that with age comes wisdom. So, listen up, Mick!

“I’m a better father this time. I have more time to spend with them, and I guess I care more.” On the disadvantages of being a younger father, he said, “Even though you would love to spend more time with your kid, it’s mixed with the fact that you’ve got to make a living and you’re just caught betwixt and between. You’ve got to make a choice. That’s life.”

Michael Douglas: “Wall Street” actor Michael Douglas is on his second Hollywood marriage, one that has produced a second family for him. He was married to Diandra for 18 years and they had one son, Cameron, 37.

His current wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, is 25 years his junior. His opening line to her was reportedly, “I want to father your children.” Whether that pickup line actually worked on the starlet is unclear, but the two did marry, and they have two children.

“I think it’s easier for me to be a good father [now]. I’m not so concerned about my career.”

Son Dylan Michael was born when Douglas was 55, and daughter Carys Zeta was born when he was 58. In an interview with AARP magazine, Douglas touched on being a late-in-life father. “My career was the most important thing in my life, followed by marriage and children,” he said adding, “and it’s completely reversed now. I never anticipated starting a family and the joy of raising kids at my age.”

Douglas even admitted being an older father had its advantages. “I think it’s easier for me to be a good father [now]. I’m not so concerned about my career.”

However, he also has some words of wisdom men like Jagger may not like to hear. “I’ll wince when I think I’ll be close to 75 when my daughter is 16. I’m not going to be able to physically chase the boys away!”

Paul McCartney: The former “Beatles” member became a father for a fifth time at age 61. After fathering four children with his late wife, Linda, he married Heather Mills in 2002 and had a baby girl, Beatrice.

The two later had a nasty and expensive divorce. Mills, who is 26 years younger than McCartney, was very public in denouncing McCartney’s adult children and felt daughter Beatrice shouldn’t spend time with them. Mills described McCartney’s daughter Stella as “evil” and “jealous” and even accused McCartney of abuse at one point.

Jagger may already know the challenges of a blended family, since he has seven children with four women. He might want to take notes from McCartney on exactly what he doesn’t want the future to hold for him.

Happily, all seems well now for McCartney.
